Veterans (those entering their 3rd year or higher) will be required to attend a minimum of 3 (three) General Membership meetings as well as the State Meeting (Live, February 19th or online) to be eligible to receive game assignments from the TMUA.
It is recommended that Rookies (no experience to entering their second year) attend all of the Rookie meetings as there are important lessons that are covered each week that may not be covered again. All Rookies MUST attend the State Meeting (Live, February 19th or online) to be eligible to receive game assignments from the TMUA.
We are projecting to have a clinic open to General Membership on either February 8th or 15th at Union High School in order to get you ready for scrimmages the following two weeks. This clinic will be MANDATORY for all Rookies. You will have instructional periods in the morning and work live baseball in the afternoon. There will be more information to come regarding the clinic as we draw nearer to it.
It is recommended to work as many scrimmages as possible because every time you step on the field you will be learning something! If you want to work better baseball, you have to be seen and scrimmages are the perfect place to be seen!
We are looking forward to another great season and continued success of the TMUA and of our members. We set the bar for umpiring high school baseball in the state of Oklahoma and are excited to have you as part of our team!
