The OSSAA’s Board of Directors approved the changes in early June after several changes were made to the original proposal.
After the adjustments were made, these changes passed by a narrow vote:
- No player can miss more than five days of school in any sport. Any lost time in a school day counts as a full day missed.
- No games allowed on Wednesday
- Week long tournaments cannot start play before 4 p.m. and cannot schedule games to start later than 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Weekend tournaments cannot start play before 10 a.m. and have the same 9 p.m. restrictions as week long events.
These changes are in place for the sports of Baseball & Softball only. These changes are possible for expansion to other sports.
